Description
Smúz Café & Bar is one of Budapest’s best-known urban community spaces, located next to the Parliament, where specialty coffee, creative programs, and high-quality guest experience come together in an inspiring, vibrant daily environment.
Tasks
Operational and administrative support: Tracking working hours, creating schedules, organizing invoices, inventory management, handling orders, preparing HACCP documentation.
Social media & marketing tasks: Writing and scheduling posts (FB/Instagram/TikTok), creating graphics in Canva, setting up events, preparing newsletters, coordinating with web developers/SEO specialists/advertising managers.
Event organization and partner management: Preparing Smúz events, supporting their execution, managing partner relationships, coordinating guests and participants.
Teamwork & internal operations support: Assisting and supervising staff work (order, cleaning, HACCP), recruiting and interviewing new employees, managing access administration.
Guest area and daily operations support: Checking the bar and inventory, providing floor support during high traffic, receiving ingredients, managing Foodora orders, resolving daily operational issues.
Expectations
Ongoing higher education in communication, marketing, hospitality management, business/management, or any other relevant field
High level of independence, responsibility, and precision – We are looking for a candidate who can complete tasks autonomously after guidance, on time and flawlessly.
Excellent communication skills in Hungarian and English – With guests, partners, suppliers, student cooperatives, and international colleagues alike.
Strong digital and creative skills – Confident use of Canva, social media content creation, basic marketing knowledge (IG/FB/TikTok), and Google tools.
Quick situational awareness, problem-solving, and multitasking – Ability to stay focused in a high-traffic café environment while managing administrative and operational tasks simultaneously.
Flexibility in time and workload – Minimum 20 hours per week plus weekend presence; periods of significantly increased workload may occur (events, seasonal demands).
